The third edition of the Ashanti Regional annual Inter Tribe Football Gala has been launched at a colourful ceremony in Kumasi on Saturday.
The community football tournament involving various tribes in the Zongo communities, is played under the auspices of his Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II , Sarkin Zongo and the various tribal Cheifs.
The main objectives of the competition is to bring youth from Zongo communities together to promote peace, unity and discipline, as well as provide a national platform for talent display and recovery.
The organizers expressed delight and appreciation to all stakeholders for the strides the tournament has made within this short time.
A live draw was conducted for the group stage of the tournament, which kicks off on Thursday,June 20th, 2024.
Present at the ceremony included former African Footballer of the year Abdul Razak Golden Boy, former Ghanaian International Mallam Yahaya, and representatives of the various tribes.
The tournament has been scheduled to start on Thursday, June 20 at the Aboabo Middle B Park.
