Ghanaian defender Nathaniel Adjei emerges as a top transfer target for Feyenoord

Ghanaian defender Nathaniel Adjei has emerged as a top transfer target for Dutch giants Feyenoord ahead of the summer window.

The 21-year-old is currently on loan at Lorient after joining the French Ligue 1 outfit on a short term deal from Swedish club Hammarby IF during the January transfer window.

The French club has a mandatory purchase option should they maintain their Ligue 1 status.

Lorient are currently battling for relegation, limiting Adjei’s chances of remaining at the club at the end of his loan spell.

Feyenoord have already initiated talks with Hammarby IF over the possible transfer of the Ghanaian defender in the summer.

Having finished second in the Dutch top-flight, Feyenoord are looking forward to augmenting their defense with the acquisition of the talented Ghanaian defender.

Adjei has a contract with Hammarby that runs until the summer of 2026.

Since joining Lorient, the 21-year-old has managed to play 15 games in Ligue 1 for FC Lorient.
