Black Stars forward Jordan Ayew has reaffirm his commitment to giving his best for the team, even when played out of his preferred position.
The 32-year-old Crystal Palace player made headlines by scoring a hat trick in Ghana’s 4-3 victory over the Central African Republic during Monday night’s 2026 World Cup qualifier at Baba Yara Stadium.
In his post-match interview, Ayew discussed how he has been playing out of positions at both Club side and the National Team and his willingness to always adapt any system or positions to help the team win.
“I’ve been playing out of position for quite some time in the national team and also at the club level. But I have always done my duty, put my country first, and never complained because I always give my all” Jordan said.
“It’s difficult. It’s not something that I like to talk about but obviously my favorite position right from Academy, France, in the national team has always been as a number 9. But I understand because I have qualities that allow me to play in the pockets of spaces, and I don’t complain” he continued.
Ghana are currently first on the Group I with 9 points after four games played.
