Zabarma booked their place in the Inter-Tribe Football Gala final after a convincing 2-0 win over Waala in Wednesday’s semi-final at Aboabi.
Goals from Basiru Maestro and Fauzan Costa sealed the victory, setting up a historic final showdown with Builsa (Kanjaga) on Saturday.
The first half saw both teams play cautiously, with few scoring opportunities.
However, Zabarma broke the deadlock five minutes into the second half when Fauzan Costa set up Basiru Maestro for a fine strike.
Waala pushed hard to equalize but couldn’t breach Zabarma’s solid defense.
Aziz Kapasta almost doubled the lead for Zabarma, but his effort hit the crossbar.
Substitute Jafar sealed the win for Zabarma in the dying moments of the game, setting up Fauzan Costa for a cool finish.
The Zabarma players erupted in joy, embracing each other and celebrating with their fans.
Fauzan Costa was named Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
Zabarma will face Builsa in the final on Saturday, while Waala will play Fulani for third place.
