Abdul Manan Adams Late Strike Earns King Faisal Narrow Win Over Rospak in Division One Clash

King Faisal FC secured a narrow 1–0 victory at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday evening in Matchday 19 of the Access Bank Division One League.

It was a tightly contested encounter between the two Division One sides, with both teams pushing hard for all three points. The home side, King Faisal, were eager to secure a positive result to strengthen their position on the league table and avoid relegation trouble.

Rospak also came into the game with strong intentions, as they remain in contention for qualification to the Ghana Premier League. Their motivation was further boosted by the fact that league leaders Ash Gold and Ebusua Dwarfs had both dropped points over the weekend.

The first half was dominated by the away side, who controlled possession and showed greater attacking intent. However, their lack of sharpness in the final third prevented them from breaking the deadlock.

The second half became more intense as both teams pushed in search of a decisive goal. The breakthrough finally came late in the game for King Faisal. In the 86th minute, Manan picked up the ball inside the penalty area and calmly placed his shot to the right of the goalkeeper, who had no chance of stopping it.

The win lifts King Faisal to 8th place on the league table with 26 points, while Rospak drop from 3rd to 5th position with 32 points after 19 league matches played.

Up next, King Faisal will host Soccer Intellectuals at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, while Rospak will remain at home to face Future Stars.
