Nana Kweku Agyemang Tips Joseph Narbi for Future Black Stars Call-Up

Assistant coach of the Black Starlets, Nana Kweku Agyemang, believes skipper Joseph Narbi has the potential to earn a call-up to the senior national team in the near future.

Narbi, who currently captains the U-17 side and has also featured for Ghana’s U-20 team, continues to attract attention with his rapid development and consistent performances over the last two years. His steady rise through the national ranks and school football has marked him out as one of the country’s most promising young prospects.

In an interview with Citi Sports, Agyemang praised both the player’s talent and leadership qualities, describing him as a standout figure within Ghana’s youth setup. The Vision FC coach noted that preparations within the Starlets camp have progressed positively, with the squad showing clear improvement week after week.

According to the assistant trainer, Narbi combines technical quality with tactical intelligence and maturity beyond his age. He further highlighted the youngster’s discipline, humility, and ability to lead by example as key attributes that set him apart.

Agyemang added that if the young captain maintains his current trajectory and continues to work hard, a transition to the senior national team, the Black Stars could happen sooner rather than later.

The Black Starlets are scheduled to travel to Morocco in April for the 2026 Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, where Narbi is expected to play a central role in Ghana’s campaign.
