Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Didi Dramani, has called on his players to stay grounded and maintain their momentum as the Ghana Premier League season intensifies.
The Phobians boosted their title push with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over arch-rivals Asante Kotoko SC at the Baba Yara Stadium last weekend — a result that propelled them into second place on the standings. They currently sit five points behind leaders Medeama SC.
However, Dramani has downplayed the significance of their league position, emphasizing the importance of steady performances over table calculations as they prepare for their next fixture.
“We are doing our best to compete for every trophy that is at stake. I don’t think about our position on the league table. We just need to continue winning and be consistent,” he said in an interview with Max TV.
Hearts of Oak will now turn their attention to a home clash against Berekum Chelsea at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Sunday, as they aim to build on their recent momentum.
