Salim Adams Confident of Black Stars Chance After Impressive Medeama Form

Midfield dynamo Salim Adams says he is fully ready to step onto the international stage if handed an opportunity with Ghana’s senior national team.

The Medeama SC playmaker has been one of the standout performers in the Ghana Premier League this season, playing a pivotal role in his club’s title push. With five goals in 19 appearances, Adams has added attacking spark and consistency to Medeama’s midfield since arriving in Tarkwa ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

His recent performances have sparked debate among fans about whether he deserves a call-up to the Black Stars squad as Ghana builds toward the FIFA World Cup in North America.

Speaking about the growing support for his inclusion, the 23-year-old welcomed the recognition but stressed that his focus remains on maintaining high standards.

“It’s encouraging to hear people talk about me in that way. It means I’m doing something right. I just have to keep improving and working hard. If the chance comes, I’m fully prepared to represent the country.”

Adams has already tasted international football at youth level, featuring for Ghana’s U23 side and getting on the scoresheet during his appearances.

His professional journey has seen steady growth. After emerging at New Edubiase United, he secured a move to Hearts of Oak in 2021, where he further developed his reputation as a creative and energetic midfielder. A loan stint with FC Cincinnati 2 in the United States also provided valuable overseas experience.

Now thriving with Medeama, Adams will be eager to sustain his strong run of form, knowing that consistent performances could open the door to a long-awaited senior national team invitation.
