“If Semenyo Remains Consistent, Ghana Can Reach the Final” – Samuel Inkoom

Former Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has expressed strong belief in the Black Stars 2026 World Cup chances, placing his confidence in the consistency of forward Antoine Semenyo.

Speaking in an interview with Connect 97.1FM, Inkoom emphasised that sustained top-level performances from the Man City attacker could be key to Ghana’s success on football’s grandest stage. “If Semenyo stays consistent, Ghana can make it to the finals of the 2026 World Cup,” he stated.

Semenyo has developed into one of Ghana’s most important attacking outlets, admired for his pace, strength and eye for goal. However, Inkoom believes it is consistency, not just talent that transforms promising campaigns into historic achievements.

The Black Stars face a daunting Group L assignment against the England national football team, the Croatia national football team, and the Panama national football team, posing a significant test for coach Otto Addo and his squad.

While Ghana have produced memorable World Cup moments in the past, reaching the final would represent an unprecedented milestone. The 2026 tournament will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, with the final set for July 19.
