“I Am On Top of My Game” – Augustine Okrah Eyes Black Stars Return

Bechem United winger Augustine Okrah says he is ready to return to the Black Stars and would gladly accept a call-up ahead of Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies later this month.

The Black Stars are scheduled to face Austria on March 27 before taking on Germany on March 30 in two friendly matches aimed at sharpening the team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Okrah has been one of the standout performers in the Ghana Premier League this season, scoring nine goals in 21 matches for Bechem United to emerge as the second-highest scorer in the competition.

The experienced attacker believes his current form and improved fitness make him a strong candidate for a place in the national team.

“This season I am on top of my game,” Okrah told Asempa FM. “Last season was difficult because injuries kept me out for about eight months, but now I feel very fit and ready.”

The former Asante Kotoko winger also admitted that a return to the national team would be a proud moment for him and his loved ones.

“If I get a Black Stars call-up, I will be very happy and my family will also be happy,” he added.
