Doris Boaduwaa emerged as the top scorer of the 2026 Pink Ladies Cup after finishing the tournament with three goals, earning the Golden Boot award following an impressive attacking display in the United Arab Emirates.
The Ghana women’s national football team forward was instrumental in Ghana’s offensive strength throughout the competition, helping the side record consecutive 4-0 victories over Hong Kong and Russia en route to the title.
Boaduwaa opened her scoring account in the match against Hong Kong, finding the back of the net in the 40th minute to seal a comfortable win for the Black Queens in their tournament opener.
Her best performance came during the clash with Russia, where she struck twice in the first half. The striker scored a spectacular volley in the 17th minute before adding another goal in the 33rd minute with a precise low finish to complete a personal brace.
Aside from her goal-scoring heroics, Boaduwaa also played a creative role in Ghana’s attack, contributing assists for teammates such as Stella Nyamekye during the dominant victory over Russia.
The striker’s Golden Boot triumph complemented Ghana’s overall success at the tournament, which also saw Cynthia Findib Konlan win the Golden Glove after keeping two clean sheets as the Black Queens were eventually crowned champions following the cancellation of their final fixture against Tanzania.
Boaduwaa’s outstanding tournament finish sends a strong signal as the team intensifies preparations for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations 2026 scheduled for July.
