Fatawu on Target Again in Leicester City’s Crucial Win Over Bristol City

Ghana winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku found the back of the net on Tuesday night as Leicester City recorded a convincing 2–0 victory over Bristol City in the EFL Championship.

The Black Stars attacker continued his impressive form in the 2025/26 campaign, playing a decisive role in the Round 37 clash held at the King Power Stadium.

Leicester City made a strong start to the contest and went ahead early in the first half. The breakthrough came in the 13th minute when Benjamin Nelson finished off a move created by Jordan James to put the hosts in front.

The Foxes extended their advantage midway through the first half thanks to Issahaku. The Ghanaian reacted quickly to a loose ball at the far post and struck powerfully with his weaker right foot, sending the ball past the goalkeeper to make it 2–0 in the 28th minute.

Bristol City attempted to fight their way back into the game after the break but failed to capitalize on their best opportunity. Emil Riis missed from the penalty spot in the 65th minute, allowing Leicester to maintain their two-goal cushion.

The victory gives Leicester City a crucial boost in the standings, keeping them clear of the relegation zone as the season heads into its final nine matches.

Following his goal in the match, Issahaku has now registered nine goals and seven assists in the league this season, underlining his importance to Leicester City’s campaign.
