Ghana Football Association Launch Digital Learning Portal to Upgrade Coach Education

The Ghana Football Association has taken a major step towards modernising coach education with the introduction of a new online platform, the GFA Learning Portal.

The initiative was unveiled during the CAF License B Coaching Course at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence, marking a shift from traditional training methods to a more digital approach.

Led by Technical Director Joseph Kwame Mintah and implemented by Head of Performance Analysis Edward Gyamfi-Acheampong, the platform aims to improve how coaching courses are delivered across the country.

Developed by Cyclux Consult, the system allows coaches to access study materials, complete assignments and take examinations online, making the process more efficient and accessible.

According to Prof. Mintah, the initiative is part of a broader vision to strengthen technical development in Ghanaian football.

“This reflects our commitment to building a new generation of technically sound coaches through structured and innovative learning methods,” he said.

The platform was first used by participants in the ongoing License B course, making them the first group of Ghanaian coaches to experience the new digital system.

By replacing paper-based assessments, the portal is expected to expand access to coaching education nationwide and improve standardisation across training programmes.

The GFA plans to roll out the system across all future licensing courses as part of its long-term strategy to enhance football development at every level in Ghana.
