Black Maidens Set for Togo Test in FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers

Ghana women’s national under-17 football team, popularly known as the Black Maidens, will kick off their qualifying campaign for the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup with a two-legged clash against Togo women’s national under-17 football team.

The first leg is scheduled for April 12 at the Stade de Kégué, before the return fixture takes place at the Accra Sports Stadium on April 18.

The tie forms part of the opening round of African qualifiers, where teams battle for a place on the global stage.

After some time away from the competition, the Black Maidens will be eager to make a strong statement and re-establish their presence among Africa’s top sides.

A positive result away in Lomé could prove crucial, as it would ease the pressure heading into the decisive second leg in Accra.

With the advantage of playing at home in the return leg, Ghana will be aiming to capitalise on familiar conditions and strong fan support to secure qualification to the next round.
