Otto Addo Calls Up Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer as Injury Replacements Hit Ghana national football team

Otto Addo has handed a late call-up to Ransford Yeboah Königsdörffer ahead of Ghana’s upcoming international friendlies.

The Ghana national football team coach moved to reinforce his squad following the withdrawal of Inaki Williams and Brandon Thomas-Asante due to injuries.

Thomas-Asante picked up a knock during Coventry City FC’s 3-0 win over Swansea City AFC, while Williams also sustained an injury after featuring for Athletic Bilbao against Real Betis.

Their absence has opened the door for the Hamburger SV forward, who has already joined the team’s training camp in Vienna.

The 22-year-old is expected to train with the squad as they prepare to face Austria national football team and Germany national football team in crucial pre-World Cup fixtures.

Königsdörffer has been in solid form at club level this season, contributing goals and providing energy in attack, making him a timely addition to the Black Stars setup.

With injuries forcing changes, the technical team will now look to the new arrival to step up as Ghana intensify preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
