“Ghana is a strong team” – Ralf Rangnick wary of Ghana black stars team test

Ralf Rangnick has acknowledged the strength of the Ghana national football team ahead of their international friendly clash in Vienna.

The Austria national football team head coach described the Black Stars as a well-balanced side capable of posing a serious challenge across all areas of the pitch.

“Ghana is a strong team in terms of play, but they also have a certain physicality, athleticism, and dynamism,” Rangnick said in his pre-match comments.

The experienced tactician believes facing such opposition will serve as a crucial test for his side as they continue preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

“This is a great test for us because we need to bring our strengths to the field both physically, tactically, and technically in order to win the game,” he added.

The match, set to take place at the Ernst Happel Stadium, offers both teams an important opportunity to assess their readiness against top-level opposition.

For Otto Addo and his squad, the fixture represents another step in their build-up, as they continue shaping a competitive team capable of performing on the global stage.

With both nations focused on long-term goals, the encounter is expected to provide valuable insights while highlighting areas for improvement ahead of major competitions.
