Otto Addo believes Ghana’s crushing defeat to Austria national football team should serve as a crucial learning moment, especially for the younger players in the squad.
The 5-1 loss marked one of the heaviest defeats under Addo, who admitted the result was both shocking and disappointing.
“I can’t really remember us losing like this. It was really, really disappointing,” he confessed.
However, the coach sees value in the setback, stressing that it highlights areas that need urgent improvement ahead of the World Cup.
“There are big, big lessons to learn, especially for our young players,” Addo noted.
With Ghana set to face Germany national football team next, the Black Stars will be aiming to bounce back and show signs of growth after a difficult night in Vienna.
