President of the Ghana Football Association, Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, has described the FA’s newly signed five-year partnership with X1 as a major boost for the growth of football in Ghana.
The agreement, unveiled on April 17, 2026, names X1 as the Official Performance Partner of the Ghana national football team and the Division One League Super Cup.
Speaking at the launch, Okraku emphasised that the partnership forms part of a broader strategy to elevate standards across both the national team and domestic competitions.
“Today marks a defining moment in our journey to transform and elevate Ghana football. It is with great pride and optimism that we officially announce this five-year partnership,” he said.
He noted that the timing of the deal is crucial as Ghana intensifies preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, adding that X1’s role will directly support performance and player welfare.
Beyond the national team, Okraku highlighted the importance of the partnership for domestic football, stressing that investment in competitions like the Division One League Super Cup will strengthen the foundation of the game.
He further explained that the agreement goes beyond branding, incorporating logistics and performance systems designed to improve efficiency and competitiveness across multiple levels.
The partnership underscores the FA’s commitment to attracting corporate investment while building a sustainable football structure that connects grassroots development with elite performance.
