Ipswich Town have opened discussions to sign Ghana international Abdul Fatawu as the winger looks to secure a new club ahead of the 2026/27 season.
The 22-year-old is attracting strong interest across Europe and the Middle East, with clubs in Turkey, Saudi Arabia and France also monitoring his situation. Premier League side West Ham United are also reported to have maintained a long-standing interest in the Black Stars attacker.
Fatawu is eager to resolve his future quickly as he looks to return to regular football and build momentum ahead of Ghana’s crucial 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying campaign, which begins in September.
The winger enjoyed an impressive spell with Leicester City, making 44 appearances, scoring nine goals and providing seven assists across all competitions. His pace, creativity and direct attacking style established him as one of the Foxes’ key performers before his future became uncertain.
