Spanish giants FC Barcelona have completed the permanent signing of Ghanaian winger Abdul Aziz Issah from Dreams FC, ending months of speculation over the youngster’s future after a successful loan spell in Spain.
The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year contract, with Barcelona retaining the option to extend the agreement for an additional season. He will continue his development with Barcelona Atlètic, where he impressed the club’s technical staff during the second half of last season.
Issah’s strong finish to the 2025/26 campaign proved decisive in Barcelona’s decision to activate a permanent move. The Ghanaian winger scored two goals and registered one assist in the team’s final five matches, showcasing the pace, creativity and attacking flair that first attracted the Catalan club.
The talented forward earned his move to Spain after emerging as one of the brightest young stars in the Ghana Premier League with Dreams FC, where his performances also caught the attention of national team selectors and several European clubs.
By securing Issah on a permanent basis, Barcelona have reaffirmed their belief in the Ghanaian’s long-term potential. The winger will now be aiming to continue his development with Barcelona Atlètic while pushing for opportunities to impress first-team head coach Hansi Flick in the seasons ahead.
