Medeama SC were held to a pulsating 1-1 draw by Aduana FC in a dramatic Matchday 22 clash of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League at the TnA Stadium in Tarkwa.
The game, initially played on Friday, was halted in the 67th minute due to a heavy downpour in Tarkwa and resumed the following morning with 23 minutes left to play.
Medeama had earlier taken the lead in the 18th minute through a stunning free-kick from Salim Adams. However, Aduana responded in the second half when Seidu Saana struck from distance, with Felix Kyei unable to keep it out, restoring parity before the stoppage.
When play resumed, both sides pushed for a winner in a tense, end-to-end finish. Medeama were handed a golden opportunity late on after Derrick Fordjour was fouled in the box, but captain Yussif Mubarik saw his penalty brilliantly saved by Prince Osei to ensure the spoils were shared.
Medeama stay top with 44 points despite their fourth home draw of the season, while Aduana climb to second with 37 points. The result keeps the title race wide open, giving hope to chasing clubs like Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
