“Anything Can Happen” — Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu Insists Aduana FC Still in Title Race

Former Ghana national football team midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu believes Aduana FC remain firmly in contention for the Ghana Premier League title despite shifting attention to the upcoming MTN FA Cup quarter-final this weekend.

Speaking to Citi Sports ahead of their clash with Techiman Liberty FC, the club’s International Relations Manager stressed that Aduana are still competing strongly on two fronts as the season enters a decisive stage.

“We are still in the league. We are vying for two things now, and we are playing in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday,” Badu said.

Aduana currently occupy third place in the league table, trailing leaders Medeama SC by five points with nine matches remaining. According to Badu, the gap is small enough to keep their title hopes alive.

“In the league, we are third on the log, and Medeama are leading us by five points with nine matches to go. With 27 points to play for, anything can happen,” he added.

While the FA Cup offers the club a direct route to silverware, Badu emphasized that Aduana are taking a balanced approach by focusing on each match as it comes.

“We are concentrating on taking it match after match. We are preparing for the FA Cup, and we will see what will happen.”

Aduana will face Techiman Liberty in the FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday at 3pm, as the club continues its push for success in both domestic competitions. ⚽
