Ghana Premier League giant Asante Kotoko SC have announced the departure of Ugandan striker Steven Dese Mukwala after two seasons with the club.
The 24 year-old forward left the Porcupine Warriors after the expiration of his contract which both parties could not reach agreement on renewal.
The Ugandan national team forward has been the club’s top scorer in his two-seasons in Kumasi, scoring fourteen (14) times and assisting two in the just ended 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season. Transfer rumors surrounding Mukwala indicates that Tanzanian clubs are in full chase for his signature and will likely feature in the Tanzanian League next season.
He is one of the 18 players the club released after the 2023/24 season.
Asante Kotoko, in a statement, have thanked the player for his service and wish him well in his future adventure.
