Former Asante Kotoko coach, Mas-ud Didi Dramani has called on the club’s leadership to carefully consider the structure of the team in light of recent developments.
His appeal follows Asante Kotoko’s decision to release 19 players after the just ended season which saw the team finish in 6th place.
Among the players released by Asante Kotoko were Samuel Asamoah, Nanabayin Amoah, Isahaku Fiseini, Rocky Dwamena, Richmond Opoku, Julius Ziggy, Shadrack Addo, Kalo Ouattara, Nicholas Osei Bonsu, Isaac Oppong, Augustine Agyapong etc.
Didi Dramani, who led Asante Kotoko to consecutive Premier League titles in 2013 and 2014, emphasized the importance of allowing players time to develop within the club, alongside the pursuit of victories.
The former Asante Kotoko coach stressed the need for clear communication from the club’s leadership to its supporters regarding the direction and vision for Asante Kotoko in an interview with Asaase Radio in Accra.
“Leadership and communication are crucial. Leadership involves establishing structures and effectively communicating these structures to the ordinary person on the ground,” he remarked.
“The supporters who come to the stadium every week need to understand that we are currently undergoing a process of restructuring” He added.
