Asante Kotoko takes the win their 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League campaign with a 1-0 victory over Karela United at the Naa Sheriga Sports Centre in Nareligu on Sunday.
Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum’s side started strongly putting much pressure on Karela United but the home team absorbed the pressure, but ultimately succumbed to a powerful strike from Albert Amoah in the 35th minute.
The Porcupine Warriors’ defense held strong in the second half, securing all three points and ending Karela United’s unbeaten run against them in their last seven clashes across all competitions.
Asante Kotoko will take on Nsoatreman FC, while Karela United will play against Berekum Chelsea in match day two of the Ghana Premier League.
