Ghana U20 winger Benjamin Tsivanyo says the Black Satellites are determined to restore pride after their opening defeat by delivering a strong performance against Burkina Faso at the 2026 WAFU B U20 Championship.
Following the 4-2 loss to Nigeria, the winger believes the team has the quality and determination to respond positively in Thursday’s decisive Group B encounter.
Tsivanyo revealed the players are motivated by more than just qualification, insisting they want to repay the faith shown in them by the technical team and make the nation proud.
“We want to make our coach proud and also Mother Ghana. We’re going to defend the name of our country.”
The youngster also outlined the tactical approach Ghana intends to adopt against Burkina Faso.
“We have to rally on our technical abilities, play fast to avoid injuries. We’re not going to allow them to close us down. We have to play fast and stick to the game plan.”
He concluded by reaffirming the team’s commitment to the Ghanaian supporters.
“We have to make Ghanaians proud and we’re determined to achieve that.”
The Black Satellites face Burkina Faso knowing that only a victory will significantly boost their chances of advancing to the semi-finals of the regional championship.
