Bernard Tekpetey wins 4th Bulgarian League title with Ludogorets

Ghanaian striker Bernard Tekpetey has once again etched his name in the annals of history, propelling Ludogorets Razgrad to their fourth consecutive league title triumph in the Bulgarian league.

Ludogorets clinched their remarkable 13th league crown with three matches left in the season, following a commanding 3-1 victory over CSKA Sofia last Saturday.

At 26 years old, Tekpetey has emerged as a linchpin in Ludogorets’ dominance over the past four years, consistently delivering stellar performances on the pitch.

This season, the prolific forward has showcased his prowess with an impressive tally of 15 goals, including 10 strikes of his own and 5 assists.

Although ranking third in goals scored for his team, behind Swiss-Ghanaian forward Kwadwo Duah and Polish striker Jakub Piotrowski, Tekpetey’s impact remains undeniable.

Since his arrival at Ludogorets in the 2021-22 season from German side Schalke 04, Tekpetey has been a revelation, building on a successful loan spell in the preceding campaign.

His stellar displays have garnered widespread acclaim, earning plaudits from football pundits and fans alike within the Bulgarian league.

Tekpetey’s ascendancy has endeared him to the Ludogorets faithful, who regularly adorn his jersey and reverberate his name in chants during matches.

As Ludogorets basks in the glory of their fourth consecutive league conquest, Tekpetey’s pivotal role in their triumphs stands as a testament to his indelible mark on the team’s illustrious journey.
