Black Challenge presents the AAFCON Cup to Former President John Dramani Mahama

The Black Challenge players and technical team paid a courtesy call on former President John Dramani Mahama to present the Amputee Africa Cup of Nations (AAFCON) trophy.

The national amputee team, the Black Challenge, achieved a remarkable feat by emerging as champions of the 2024 Amputee Africa Cup (AAFCON) after a hard-fought battle, defeating Morocco 2-1 in the finals held in Egypt.

Ghana, displaying their unwavering determination, had to come from a goal down to successfully defend the title they won last year.

In a heartwarming display of support, the former President personally welcomed the entire team to his office on Wednesday, extending his heartfelt congratulations to the players and the technical team of the Black Challenge for their victory in the Amputee Africa Cup of Nations, which he described as ‘excellent style’.

The former president awarded $10,000 to the players for winning the 2024 AAFCON.

Building on their success, the Black Challenge have not only secured their spot at the 2026 World Amputee Football Cup in Panama, but also set the stage for their promising future endeavors.
