Black Galaxies Impress in 3-0 Friendly Win as Queiroz Assesses Local Talent

The Ghana national football team B delivered a commanding performance with a 3-0 victory over Heart of Lions in a friendly match at the Accra Sports Stadium, with Carlos Queiroz watching from the stands.

After a goalless first half, Ali Mohammed broke the deadlock in the 50th minute from the penalty spot following a foul on Richmond Opoku. Substitute Kedzie Korblah Junior then took centre stage late in the game, scoring twice in the 80th and 90th minutes, both assisted by Prince Tweneboah, to seal an emphatic win.

The match formed part of Queiroz’s ongoing assessment of home-based players as he looks to strengthen the Ghana national football team ahead of upcoming international assignments.

The friendly was made possible after the Ghana Football Association temporarily suspended domestic league fixtures to honour the late Dominic Frimpong, the Berekum Chelsea forward who was recently laid to rest following his tragic death.

Several players seized the opportunity to impress, with standout performances from Korblah and Tweneboah highlighting the depth of talent within the local game as attention turns to future national team selections.
