Black Princesses jet off to Columbia for FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup

The Black Princesses of Ghana have left the shores of the country to Colombia ahead of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup slated to start from 31th August to 22nd September 2024.

The team left Accra on Tuesday evening for Bogota to continue preparations for the tournament which begins on August 31.

Ghana is making a seventh successive appearance at the World Cup and will be hoping to go beyond the group stage for the first time.

The U20 Ghana Women National Team have been drawn in Group E alongside former champions Japan, New Zealand and Austria.

Ghana will begin her campaign with Austria on September 2 before engaging Japan and New Zealand respectively.

The team has been preparing for the World Cup since winning the African Games gold in March. The Black Princesses started camping at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence before moving to Cape Coast.
