Ghana’s U-17 national team, the Black Starlets, will travel to Morocco on Sunday for two international friendly matches as part of their preparations for the upcoming WAFU Zone B U-17 Championship in Burkina Faso.
Head coach Mingle revealed that the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has secured the two friendly matches against the Morocco U-17 side as the team steps up preparations for the regional tournament.

The Black Starlets have been in camp at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, where the technical team has been assessing players and working on their preferred style of play.
According to Coach Mingle, the team will return to Ghana after the Morocco trip and continue their preparations at the University of Ghana, Legon, before playing additional friendly matches.
The team will also spend a few days in Bolgatanga to acclimatise to conditions similar to those expected in Burkina Faso.
“We will travel to Morocco on Sunday to play two games against the Morocco U-17 team. After that, we will return to Accra, train at Legon, and play a few more games before travelling to Bolgatanga,” Coach Mingle said.
The coach believes the international friendlies will provide an important opportunity to assess the players against quality opposition before the WAFU Zone B tournament.
Ghana are targeting qualification for the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations, with Coach Mingle insisting that securing qualification is his immediate objective before turning his attention to competing for the ultimate prize.
The final 23-man squad will be announced before the team departs for Morocco.
