Black Stars made a soothing visit to the Dzorwulu Special School in Accra, where they spent quality time with students and staff before departing for Luanda.
The players were led by captain Jordan Ayew, team members Kingsley Schindler, Lawrence Ati-Zigi, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, Gideon Mensah, Ransford Yeboah Koningsdorffer, and Razak Simpson showed their support and compassion to the school’s community.
The Team were accompanied by Team Manager Ameenu Shardow, Director of Communications Henry Asante Twum, and GFA Foundation Director Malcom Appeadu.
Ayew in an interview with ghanafa.org shared the purpose of their visit to the special school and the purpose and important of such visits.
“On behalf of the Ghana Football Association, the Black Stars Technical team and my colleagues, we came here to spend time with you (inmates) and to offer our little support to you as part of our contribution to your growth.”
“We believe that lending a hand of support is divine Today, we thought it wise to come over here and support you,” he said. Ayew also asked for the students’ prayers ahead of the crucial match against Angola, saying, “We seek your prayers and support going into our crucial game.”
The team led by captain Jordan Ayew donated food items, water, and an undisclosed amount of money, bringing smiles to the students’ faces.
These gestures highlights the team’s commitments to making a positive impact beyond the pitch, supporting communities and spreading love.
Ghana remain high spirit as they seek to secure all six points against Niger and Angola as they look forward for a miracle to happened against Sudan in these last two games.
