Black Stars Technical Team Storm Super Clash in Kumasi

The technical leadership of Ghana’s senior national team – The Black Stars – was in attendance for the high-profile Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak, underscoring the national team’s intensified player monitoring efforts ahead of upcoming World Cup.

Head coach Otto Addo led the delegation, closely observing proceedings as two of Ghana’s biggest clubs locked horns in one of the country’s most fiercely contested fixtures.

The visit highlighted the technical bench’s commitment to tracking domestic talents and assessing their readiness for potential national team call-ups.

Addo was accompanied by assistant coaches Alain Ravera, Kim Lars Björkegren, and Desmond Ofei, forming a strong technical presence in the stands.

Also part of the scouting contingent was Technical Advisor Winfried Schaefer, whose vast international experience continues to play a key role in shaping Ghana’s football structure and talent evaluation processes.

Their presence was further reinforced by Executive Council member Frederick Acheampong, reflecting the Ghana Football Association’s institutional support for strengthening collaboration between club and national team systems.

The attendance of such a high-level delegation signals a clear message: standout performances on the domestic stage are being closely monitored, and players who shine in marquee fixtures could be firmly in contention for future national team opportunities.
