CAF Champions League Quarter-Final Draw Confirmed for 2025/26 Season

The draw for the 2025/26 CAF Champions League quarter-finals has officially been conducted. The competition began with 16 teams across four groups—Groups A to D—with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage, making a total of eight quarter-finalists.

North Africa dominated the group stage, producing six of the eight qualified teams, while West Africa and Southern Africa were each represented by one club.

The first quarter-final will see RS Berkane take on Al Hilal Omdurman, with the first leg set to be played in Morocco.

One of the standout fixtures of the round will be the heavyweight clash between Espérance de Tunis and record champions Al Ahly. The two African giants share a combined total of 16 CAF Champions League titles, with Al Ahly claiming 12 and Espérance winning four. The first leg of this mouthwatering encounter will take place in Tunisia.

In another fixture, Mamelodi Sundowns will host Stade Malien in the first leg in South Africa. This marks Sundowns’ eighth consecutive appearance in the CAF Champions League quarter-finals, while Stade Malien are the only Malian side to have topped a group in the competition.

The final quarter-final pairing will feature AS FAR against defending champions Pyramids FC. Pyramids FC were the most impressive side in the group stage, finishing with a competition-high 16 points from six matches.

The stage is now set for an exciting knockout phase as Africa’s elite clubs battle for a place in the semi-finals of the continent’s premier club competition.
