Black Stars head coach Carlos Queiroz says Ghana will head into the upcoming FIFA World Cup with the ambition of competing for the ultimate prize despite being drawn in a difficult group.
Speaking in an interview on the Ghana Football Association YouTube channel, Queiroz admitted that success at the tournament will require sacrifice, discipline, and hard work from both players and staff.
“It’s easy to have wishes in life but you have to be ready to pay the price to achieve those dreams. We go there to win the World Cup.”
The Portuguese trainer made it clear that the Black Stars will not travel just to participate but to compete with belief and determination on football’s biggest stage.
Ghana have been paired with Panama, England, and Croatia in the group stage, setting up a challenging path for the Black Stars.
Queiroz, however, remains confident his side can rise to the occasion as preparations continue ahead of the tournament.
