Spanish La Liga outfit Celta Vigo have finalised the long-term acquisition of promising Ghanaian forward Bernard Somuah following a successful loan spell in Spain.
The talented attacker first moved to the Balaídos side on a temporary deal from Asante Kotoko in 2024. After adapting quickly and showing steady progress with the club’s reserve team, Celta Fortuna, the Spanish side opted to extend his stay before eventually activating a permanent transfer.
Impressed by his development and attacking output, the Sky Blues have rewarded the 20-year-old with a four-year contract, underlining their belief in his long-term potential.
Somuah has enjoyed a productive campaign with Celta Fortuna, emerging as one of the team’s key performers. He has netted five goals this season and played a decisive role in several important fixtures.
One of his standout moments came in the Primera Federación clash where he found the back of the net in a 4-2 win over Real Avilés, further strengthening his case for greater responsibilities within the club.
With his future now secured, the Ghanaian youngster will be focused on maintaining his upward trajectory as he pushes for an opportunity with Celta Vigo’s senior side and continues his growth in Spanish football.
