Renowned juvenile football coach and founder of Anokye Stars, Saani Anokye Dendem, has tragically passed away in Kumasi. The influential figure, credited with discovering numerous Ghanaian football talents, succumbed to illness at the age of 75.
Dendem was instrumental in the development of colts football in the Ashanti Region, nurturing a multitude of players who went on to achieve success in the sport.

Under his guidance, Ghana saw the rise of notable players such as Anthony Yeboah, Isaac Kwakye, Isaac Boakye, Adu Tutu Skelley, Osei Kwame Jnr., Stanley Aborah, Francis Akwaffo, Prince Polley, William Thompson, Bashiru Osman, and the legendary Bashiru Gambo.
