Creation of new national teams is in line with the Ghana Football DNA –Tophic Abdul Kadir

In a strategic move to cultivate talent and reinforce the foundation of Ghanaian football, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the inception of a series of new national teams.

Tophic Abdul Kadir, the Deputy Communications Manager of the GFA, elucidated that these additions align seamlessly with the essence of Ghanaian football.

In a conversation with Guide Sports, Tophic emphasized the significance of this expansion, which encompasses teams for both boys and girls across various age categories. Among the newly introduced teams are the Under-16, Under-18, Under-19, and Under-21 squads, catering to both genders and an additional Under-23 for girls.

Abdul Kadir articulated that the decision to introduce these teams stems from a deep understanding of Ghanaian Football DNA.

“The creation of new national teams is in line with the Ghana Football DNA,” he affirmed.

“This move reflects the GFA’s commitment to nurturing talent from grassroots levels, providing young athletes with structured pathways to showcase their skills and advance in the sport,” he added.
