Didi Dramani Admits Hearts of Oak Operating at 70% After Chelsea Draw

Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, has admitted his team is still developing and has not yet reached its peak performance level in the ongoing Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Phobians were forced to settle for a draw against Berekum Chelsea on matchday 23, missing the opportunity to reduce the gap on table-toppers Medeama SC. Although Hearts controlled significant portions of the game, they struggled to make their dominance count in front of goal.

The result leaves the Accra-based side third on the standings with 40 points, five behind the leaders, as questions continue to surround their attacking efficiency.

Speaking after the game, Dramani acknowledged that the team is still refining key aspects of their play.

“As a team, we are still not doing some things right. If you listen to me week in, week out, regardless of whether we win, draw or lose, I always talk about trying to improve in key moments of the game. The level of my team is around 65 to 70 percent,” he stated.

The former Black Stars assistant coach stressed that true progress goes beyond results, highlighting the need for sharper decision-making, consistency and better execution during decisive moments.

With the season far from over, Dramani remains optimistic that Hearts of Oak will steadily improve as the squad continues to adapt to his tactical philosophy and demands.
