Hearts of Oak won the Ghanaian Super Clash against Kumasi Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Matchday 22 of the Ghana Premier League.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani clarified the club’s goalkeeping situation while backing Benjamin Asare for the Black Stars’ number one spot.
The gaffer made it clear that Benjamin Asare does not need to play to prove his quality, stressing that the goalkeeper has already justified himself.
🗣️ “He has nothing to justify to be in the Black Stars. I’m saying it today—Benjamin Asare has nothing to justify.”
Dramani further added that the competition within the club’s goalkeeping department has been healthy, noting that it has helped Asare improve even more.
🗣️ “The competition in our goalkeeping department is very healthy.”
Hearts of Oak will host Berekum Chelsea in their next league fixture and currently sit 3rd on the league table with 39 points after 22 matches played.
