Dreams FC coach Karim Zito blames inexperience for the Zamalek defeat

Dreams FC coach, Abdul Karim Zito believes his team suffered from inexperience during the 3-0 defeat to Zamalek in the semi-final of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Dreams FC had an advantage in qualifying to the final of the championship having drew 0-0 in the first leg in Egypt at the cairo International Stadium.

The Still Believe boys had a lot of confidence in qualifying after a seeing the atmosphere around the and inside a fully packed Baba Yara Stadium, something don’t see a club team in Ghana pull in recent years.

“We should have won the game in the first half. We could have scored FOUR. I’m not disappointed at all. But I would have wished we had gone to the final,” said Karim Zito in a post match presser.

“We never had this type of situation before. We didn’t panic even after their first goal. You could see we pushed and created a lot of chances.

“It’s a lack of experience. The boys only gave up after the third goal. I can do everything but if the players are not mentally stable there is nothing you can do.”

Dreams FC will now focus on the Ghana Premier League and the FA Cup, where they have reached the semi-final. The FA Cup holders could return to Africa if they successfully defend their title.
