Dreams FC Host Struggling Kotoko in High-Stakes Clash at Tuba

Dreams FC will welcome Asante Kotoko SC to the Tuba AstroTurf on Sunday in a Ghana Premier League encounter shaped by contrasting form and objectives.

Kotoko arrive in Accra under pressure, with interim coach Hamza Obeng taking charge for the first time following a turbulent spell that saw changes in the technical setup. His immediate task is to steady the team after a dip in form that has all but ended their title hopes.

The Porcupine Warriors head into the fixture on the back of consecutive defeats to Medeama SC and FC Samartex 1996, extending their winless run to three matches. Their away struggles are a major concern, having failed to score in their last three games on the road.

In contrast, Dreams FC come into the clash with momentum. Fresh from reaching the FA Cup final, they have also recorded back-to-back league victories over Medeama and Eleven Wonders FC, lifting them to eighth place with 40 points.

However, defensive issues persist for Dreams, who have conceded in four consecutive home matches, a vulnerability they must address against a Kotoko side capable of punishing mistakes.

Recent meetings between the two sides point to a tight contest. Since June 2023, Kotoko have won three of their six encounters, with Dreams winning twice and one match ending in a draw. The reverse fixture in December 2025 saw Kotoko claim a narrow 1-0 victory.

Kotoko sit sixth on 43 points, just three ahead of Dreams, setting up a finely balanced clash with both teams chasing crucial points for different reasons.
