Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC rejected a huge offer from Egyptian giants Al Ahly for midfielder Abdul Aziz Issah before Barcelona move.
Issah was a subjected of interest for several clubs following his swashbuckling performance for the Still Believe lads and the Ghana U20 team.
The talented midfielder was on the radar of African giants Al Ahly, Al Dhafra FC and Al Wasr in the UAE and Spanish powerhouse Barcelona, where were all keen to secure the services of the player.
The Egyptian giants reportedly offered more in order to beat off competition from Barcelona for the talented midfielder.
However, Dreams FC, who are said to been keen about the players’ development opted to transfer the Ghana U20 star to Barcelona.
Issah will join Barça Athletic, the club’s B team, for the 2024-2025 season, with an option to make the move permanent at the end of the loan period.
Issah made headlines last season with his standout performances in the CAF Confederation Cup. He scored four goals and provided two assists in 10 matches, helping Dreams FC reach a historic semi-final.
In the Ghana Premier League, Issah was involved in 17 goals throughout the season, scoring seven and assisting 10.
His impact extended to the FA Cup, where he netted four times in five games.
