Ghana FA to partner OKESS to establish Elite Academy in the Ashanti Region

In a significant move towards fostering football talent in Ghana, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is partnering with Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS) to establish an Elite Soccer Academy in the Ashanti Region.

Led by Vice President Mark Addo, a GFA delegation visited OKESS, marking the beginning of this partnership.

The aim is to use OKESS’s excellent sporting facilities to nurture the next generation of football stars through the Elite Soccer Academy.

OKESS was chosen due to its status as a mixed school, ensuring equal opportunities for boys and girls to excel in football, aligning with the GFA’s vision of promoting gender equality in sports.

Key GFA members, including Technical Director Prof. Joseph Kwame Mintah and Director of Elite Academy Joseph Tetteh Zutah, along with OKESS representatives, attended the event, highlighting the commitment to this initiative.

Vice President Mark Addo expressed optimism about the partnership, seeing it as a significant milestone in developing football talents in Ghana.

The establishment of the Elite Soccer Academy at OKESS marks a new phase in football development in the Ashanti Region and beyond, focusing on holistic player growth and inclusivity, promising to produce future football stars while benefiting communities and inspiring future generations.
