Ghana to host Angola at Baba Yara Stadium in September for the AFCON 2025 qualifyer

The Black Stars will host Angola in their opener of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers at the Baba Yara Stadium in a statement from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Tuesday.

The Black Stars will host the Sable Antelopes on Thursday, September 5, 2024, before travelling to Niger for their second Group F game on Monday, September 9, 2024.

Having recorded back-to-back wins in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic, the Black Stars will hope to build on that momentum ahead of the games.

The game against Angola is scheduled for 16:00 Hrs Kick Off at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Ghana are in Group F alongside Sudan, Angola and Niger.

The Black Stars are in search for their next Afcon title after dominating in the 60s to 80s having previously won the title in 1963, 1965, 1978 and 1982.
