The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) has been encouraged to gift Mohammed Kudus a traditional stool for his goal celebrations by entertainment critic Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng.
Boateng thinks that this action would draw attention from foreign media outlets and boost Ghana’s tourism industry.
Kudus has received recognition for his outstanding goal contributions and imaginative celebrations, many of which include trying to borrow a steward’s stool or sitting on advertising boards.
Boateng says that adorning a stool with national and cultural symbols would improve Kudus’ festivities and increase traveller traffic to Ghana.
“Ghana Tourism Authority, get a stool or chair or something and decorate it with patriotic and cultural symbols and send it to Kudus. Anytime he scores, someone can bring it out for him to sit on”, she suggested.
“Do you know the number of times that stool would be promoted by the international media and how it would promote our local tourism?
“I am pleading with you, get Kudus a befitting stool, and I bet it’s going to be the most talked-about stool in Ghana after the Golden Stool”, she added.
