Ghana’s senior women’s side has arrived in the United Arab Emirates to compete in the 2025 Pink Ladies Cup as preparations intensify for the upcoming 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The delegation touched down in the early hours of Wednesday, marking the start of a crucial phase in their build-up to the continental tournament scheduled for next month.
Head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren is expected to use the four-team competition to evaluate his squad and fine-tune tactics ahead of WAFCON. Ghana are set to face Hong Kong, Russia and Tanzania in the invitational tournament.
The Swedish trainer recently unveiled his squad for the trip, introducing six fresh faces as he continues to reshape the team for the challenge in Morocco.
The Black Queens will begin their campaign against Hong Kong on February 28, before taking on Russia on March 3. Their final group fixture is scheduled for March 6 against Tanzania.
After the Pink Ladies Cup, Ghana will round off preparations with a friendly against Ivory Coast prior to the start of the WAFCON tournament in lMorocco.
