FC Samartex 1996 assistant coach Henry Wellington has admitted that his side’s lack of goals remains a major concern following their 0-0 draw with Dreams FC in Matchday 25 of the Ghana Premier League.
The Timber Giants were unable to secure all three points at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi on Saturday as they were held by a determined Dreams FC side.
Samartex entered the game hoping to end their recent winless run, but they struggled to convert their dominance into goals against a well-organised opposition defence.
Speaking after the match, Wellington highlighted the team’s scoring difficulties.
“Goalscoring has been our problem since the start of the season. We will continue to work to find a solution to it,” he said.
The draw extends Samartex’s winless run in the league, although the team maintained their strong unbeaten home record at the Nsenkyire Sports Arena this season.
Dreams FC, on the other hand, earned a valuable away point that helps strengthen their push to move further away from the relegation zone as the campaign approaches its final stages.
