Following his pivotal role for Karela United in their 1-0 home win over Heart of Lions at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale, the youngster have been named in Fatawu Dauda’s GPL match day 7 team of the week.
He won his side the match winning penalty in the dying embers of the game after he was brought down in the opponents box. He was a thorn on the neck of the opposition defense throughout the entire game. And was named the Nasco Player of the match after the game.
Earlier this year he was one of two players sent to the UK for trials with FCV International Football Academy in Leicester, FOX Football Academy in London and with Tottenham Hotspurs Football Club U-19 side.
The former Yendi based Sankara Nationals player has been instrumental for Karela United so far in his debut season. Scoring two decisive goals against Legon Cities and Samartex respectively.
His first goal came on the 88th minute in his debut GPL match against Legon Cities FC. Then a week later he double his numbers with a 90th minute equalizer against current GPL Champions Samartex FC at home.
With zero experience in the Division One League, he has already become a big threat for opponents in the Ghanaian topflight.
He surely will be one of the revelations of the season.
