Hearts of Oak Must Get Better to Challenge for Title – Didi Dramani

Hearts of Oak head coach Didi Dramani has admitted that his side must raise their performance levels if they hope to finish the 2025/26 season with a trophy.

The Phobians chances of silverware have been reduced after their elimination from the MTN FA Cup, leaving the Ghana Premier League as their only realistic route to success this season.

Their title ambitions also suffered a setback last weekend when they fell to a 2-1 defeat against Bibiani Gold Stars in a Week 24 clash at Bibiani. The loss has left the Accra-based club trailing league leaders Medeama SC by six points in the standings.

Despite the disappointment, Dramani believes the game provided valuable lessons for his team and insists the players must build on the positives while improving in key areas.

“We took lessons from that match,” the Hearts coach said. “We created several chances, but we need to continue working hard. If we want to keep moving forward, then improvement is necessary.”

Hearts of Oak will now shift their attention to their next Ghana Premier League fixture against Basake Holy Stars.

The Week 25 encounter is scheduled for Sunday, March 8, with kickoff set for 3:00 pm at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium, where the Phobians will be hoping to return to winning ways.
